# Plans & billing

> How TryPost Cloud pricing, plans, and billing work.

  Everything on this page applies to **TryPost Cloud**. Self-hosted instances skip subscription checks entirely (set `SELF_HOSTED=true` in `.env`).

## The plans

TryPost Cloud has two flat plans. Both include every feature — the difference is how many [workspaces](/knowledge-base/workspaces) you can run. There are no per-seat fees and no AI credit cap.

Pricing is localized in some regions (for example, Brazil). See the [pricing page](https://trypost.it/pricing) for current rates.

A workspace is one brand or client, kept separate from the rest: its own social accounts, signatures, labels, analytics, members, and MCP connection. Need another brand? [Add a workspace](/knowledge-base/workspaces#creating-a-workspace) — Socials can hold one; Workspaces can hold as many as you need.

## First month

New accounts pick a plan during welcome. Checkout is **monthly** there. A card is required.

First-time subscribers pay **$1 for the first month**. The regular price — **$19** on Socials or **\$99** on Workspaces — starts on the next cycle. Cancel before that cycle if you do not want to continue.

Re-subscribers do not get the \$1 first month. Yearly billing is available later on the billing page — it is not part of welcome checkout.

If you let access lapse without an active subscription, the app and API return `402 Payment Required` until you subscribe.

## Subscribing

1. During welcome, pick **Socials** or **Workspaces** and complete Stripe Checkout
2. After you have a subscription, go to **Settings > Account > Billing** to switch plan or interval
3. Pick **Monthly** or **Yearly** at the top of the plan picker
4. Choose **Upgrade**, **Downgrade**, or switch interval

Yearly billing costs less per month than monthly (2 months free). Stripe prorates the difference when you change plan or interval.

## Changing plan

Use **Settings > Account > Billing**. Only the account owner can change the plan.

* **Socials → Workspaces** — upgrade. You can add more workspaces right away.
* **Workspaces → Socials** — downgrade. You must be down to **one** workspace first. If you still have extras, delete them before switching — the picker blocks Socials until you do.
* **Monthly ↔ yearly** on the same plan — switch interval from the same picker.

Adding a workspace on Workspaces does not change what you pay.

## Updating payment method & invoices

Click **Manage on Stripe** on the Billing page to open the Stripe Customer Portal in a new tab. From there you can:

* Update card / payment method
* Download invoices and receipts
* Change billing email
* Cancel the subscription

## Limit behavior

The Cloud limits that still apply:

* **No active subscription** — the dashboard, API, and MCP return `402 Payment Required`
* **Socials workspace cap** — you cannot create a second workspace until you upgrade. The create page still opens; submitting it shows the upgrade dialog
* **Downgrade with too many workspaces** — blocked until extras are deleted

There is **no** monthly AI credit ceiling. Copilot and the other AI tools stay available on both plans.

    Stripe retries automatically. After the grace period, the subscription enters `past_due` and the dashboard shows a banner. New actions that require app access return `402` until billing recovers.

    Yes. Cancel from the Stripe Customer Portal. The subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, then expires.
