# Workspaces

> Create, switch, rename and delete workspaces — one for each brand or client.

A workspace is one brand or client, kept separate from the rest: its own channels, posts, ideas, signatures, labels, analytics, members and permissions, API keys, webhooks and MCP connections.

Every workspace belongs to an **account**. The person who created the account is its **owner**; everyone else joins its workspaces by invitation. See [Members and permissions](/knowledge-base/settings/members-and-permissions).

## Switch workspaces

Open the workspace menu at the bottom of the sidebar and pick a workspace under **Workspaces**.

You only see the workspaces you are a member of. The account owner sees all of them.

## Create a workspace

Only the account owner can create workspaces.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the workspace menu">
    In the workspace menu, click **Create workspace**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name it">
    On **Set up your workspace**, enter the **Workspace name** and click **Create workspace**. You can rename it later.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect channels">
    The new workspace starts empty. [Connect a channel](/knowledge-base/channels/connecting) to start posting.
  </Step>
</Steps>

How many workspaces you can have depends on your plan: **Socials** includes one workspace and **Workspaces** includes unlimited workspaces. At the limit, creating a workspace opens **Upgrade to add workspaces**. See [Plans and billing](/knowledge-base/settings/plans-and-billing).

<Note>
  Self-hosting TryPost? There is no workspace limit.
</Note>

## General settings

**Settings → General** holds the workspace's identity. The account owner and workspace admins can change it:

* **Workspace logo** — upload an image (square works best, up to 2 MB), crop it, and **Save**; or remove the current one.
* **Workspace name** — rename the workspace, then **Save**.

## Delete a workspace

Only the account owner can delete a workspace, from **Settings → General** → **Delete this workspace**.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Delete workspace">
    Click **Delete workspace**. The dialog tells you how many other members will lose access.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Type the workspace name">
    Type the workspace's exact name to confirm, then confirm the deletion.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Deleting a workspace permanently deletes it and everything in it: posts, ideas, connected channels, media, labels, signatures and webhooks. Its API keys and MCP connections stop working. Posts already published on the networks stay there.

Members lose access to the deleted workspace. An invited member who is left without any workspace in the account is permanently deleted; members who still belong to another workspace of the account keep their user.

You cannot delete your only workspace: **You cannot delete your only workspace. Cancel your subscription in billing to stop paying, or delete your account in Authentication settings to cancel billing and permanently remove everything.** See [Plans and billing](/knowledge-base/settings/plans-and-billing) and [Delete account](/knowledge-base/settings/authentication#delete-account).

<Note>
  Self-hosting TryPost? The last workspace can be deleted too.
</Note>

## Via the API and MCP

API keys and MCP connections are tied to one workspace. [`GET /workspace`](/api-reference/workspace/get-workspace) and `get-workspace-tool` return the workspace they belong to. Creating, renaming and deleting workspaces is available in the web app only.
