Set up posting times
Each channel has its own posting times, in its own time zone.- The first time: after you connect a channel, TryPost asks “How many times a week would you like to post?” Pick Keep it steady (1 time/week), Build a presence (3), Reach new heights (5) or Choose your goal (up to 28). TryPost then suggests recommended times you can Customize.
- Any time later: open the channel and choose Manage posting times, or go to its Channel settings. There you set up to 4 times per day, turn days on or off, and generate times from your goal, from TryPost’s recommendations, or by copying another channel.
Add a post to the queue
In the composer, choose:
From Drafts, Add to queue puts a draft in the next free slot.
You can also click + New on a free slot in the Queue list or the calendar. The composer opens at that slot’s time; if you save without changing the time or the channel, the post takes exactly that slot.
Posts keep their slot
A queued post stays in its slot. TryPost never moves it on its own.- Deleting, Move to Drafts, publishing now or giving it a custom time frees the slot. The posts after it do not move up to fill the gap.
- Next available fills that gap the next time you queue a post.
- Any scheduled post on a slot’s time holds that slot, even one scheduled with a custom time. The queue never puts two posts in the same slot.
Reorder the queue
Drag a queued post onto another, or use Move up or Move down from the post menu. The posts trade places among the times they already hold; no new slot is taken. Move to top works like Prioritize: the post takes the first slot not held by a post with a custom time, and the queued posts right behind it, up to the next gap, each move one slot later. Nothing else moves.Posts waiting for approval
When a member who needs approval queues a post, the request holds its slot while it waits. The Queue shows it as a post card at that time:- approvers see Add to queue, which approves it, and Reject;
- the member who asked can edit it;
- it cannot be dragged.
When posting times or the time zone change
- Changing posting times moves only the posts whose slot no longer exists. They go to the first free slots, in order.
- Changing the channel’s time zone first moves each queued post to the slot at the same local clock time in the new zone, then fills the first free slots in order. Posts with a custom time keep their moment.
- If no slot is left, a queued post keeps its time as a custom-time post.
Show the slots
In the Publish filter menu, turn on Show posting times to see the free slots in the Queue list, each with + New. Manage posting times opens the channel’s settings.API and MCP
To queue a new post through the API, see the posting guide.
