Everything about signing in lives in Settings → Authentication. These settings are personal and apply to every workspace you belong to.

Password

  • Update password — enter your Current password, a New password and Confirm password, then Save password.
  • Set a password — shown when you signed up with Google or GitHub and never set one. Adding a password lets you sign in without a connected provider.
Forgot your password? Use Forgot password? on the sign-in page; TryPost emails you a link to choose a new one.

Connected accounts

Sign in faster with Google or GitHub. Each provider shows Connected or Not connected, with Connect or Disconnect. You cannot disconnect your only sign-in method: set a password or connect the other provider first. A Google or GitHub account that is already linked to another TryPost user cannot be connected.
Self-hosting TryPost? Google and GitHub sign-in need their own credentials — see Social login.

Active sessions

Active sessions lists every browser and device signed in to your account, with its browser, operating system, IP address and last activity. The one you are using shows Active now. If you notice anything suspicious, click Log out other devices. Confirm with your current password, or by typing your email address if your account has no password. Every other session is signed out.

Email verification

New accounts verify their email address through a link TryPost sends at signup. After you change your email in Profile, the new address needs to be verified too.

Delete account

Delete account permanently deletes your user and everything that belongs to it. Confirm with your password, or by typing your email address if your account has no password. What it removes depends on whether you own the account:
  • You are the account owner — on TryPost Cloud your subscription is cancelled first; if that fails, nothing is deleted. Then every workspace of the account is deleted with its posts, channels and media, and every invited member of the account is permanently deleted too.
  • You are an invited member — you leave every workspace you belong to and your user is deleted. The workspaces and their posts stay.
Posts already published on the networks stay there.
This cannot be undone. If you only want to stop paying, cancel your subscription from Billing instead.
